Your Social Value Practitioner Journey

Becoming a Social Value Practitioner is a prestigious journey that showcases your commitment to creating meaningful impact and advancing social value practices. Below shows you the pathway of your social value journey. As a member, we will be with you every step of the way to make sure you are set up for success.

Level 1: Associate Practitioner

  • Fully Online, OPEN BOOK, Multiple-Choice assessment
  • Comprises 6 sections that mirror the Level 2 Social Value and SROI Practitioner Training
  • Complete the exam in ONE sitting, under 90 mnutes
  • An ACTIVE membership with SVM must be held by the applicant at the time of assessment
  • One point is available for each question.
  • A pass mark of minimum 70% is required overall,
  • A minimum of 50% in each of the 6 sections.

Level 2: Accredited Practitioner

  • Applicant must receive a successful assurance of a Social Impact or SROI analysis.
  • Applicant must be a Level 1: Social Value Associate
  • Applicant must have completed an Accredited training programme.
  • Applicant must provide a Personal Statement of Interest in Social Value and Impact Management
  • Applicant must achieve the successful completion of interview with a member of the Assurance Team.
  • A successful assurance of a Social Impact or SROI analysis.
  • Mentorship is allowed and encouraged
  • Partial limitations of report is allowed

Level 3: Advanced Practitioner

  • Successful completion of Accredited training course
  • Successful assurance of Social Impact or SROI analysis.
  • Overview statement of interest and commitment to Social Value, Impact Management and social impact assessment or SROI.
  • Successful completion of interview.
  • Applicant must be a Level 1 AP ‘Associate Practitioner’*

*Applicants do not have to have achieved Level 2 Accredited Practitioner status to apply for Level 3.

  • Successful assurance of Social Impact or SROI analysis.
  • Allowances under Level 2: Accredited Practitioner is not allowed in Level 3: Advanced Practitioner
  • Mentorship is not allowed
  • No limitations are accepted in the final report
